Snowmobile tours 

Snowmobile to/from Kiruna Airport/ICEHOTEL
When you arrive at Kiruna Airport you are met by our guide. Must be pre-booked.
Daily: In conjunction flight arrival/departure, duration about 2,5 hours.
Price: SEK 1700/person – 2 persons per snowmobile
Surcharge for individual snowmobile: SEK 800/person total: SEK 2500/person, seated 1 person/snowmobile. 
 
Snowmobile short introduction tour
Guided snowmobile tour, after a safty and driving instruction off we go for a 1,5 hour tour in the vast surroundings of Jukkasjärvi.
Time: 3:30 – 5 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Price: SEK 895/person, seated 2 personer per snowmobile.
Surcharge for individual snowmobile: SEK 800/person. Total: SEK 1695/person seated 1 person/snowmobile. 
 
Snowmobile Northern lights tour
Guided snowmobile tour in seach of the Norhtern lights. During the tour the guide will tell you about the phenomenon, different stars and also show you a short slidshow about our surroundings, mountains and the Aurora Borealis. A light meal based on local produce in a genuine wilderness camp is included.
Daily: 10/12 to 29/3 at 7:00 – 11:00 pm, 30/3–20/4 8:00–12:00 pm.
Price: SEK 1750/person, seated 2 personer per snowmobile.
Surcharge for individual snowmobile: SEK 800 kr/person, total: 2550/person seated 1 person/snowmobile.
When the 7:00-11:00 pm tour is sold out, a second tour at 6:00-10:00 pm is opened up. 
 
Snowmobile for the enthustiast
A tour for those who like riding a snowmobile. You might have joined another of our tours and like to ride some more. We offer you 2 hours of great fun! You drive 1 person per snowmobile in small groups of max. 8 guests per guide. A perfect ending to your stay at ICEHOTEL.

Wilderness safari
Guided snowmobile safari in the surrounding woods of Jukkasjärvi. During the tour we will have time to see the the fauna in the area. Ask your guide about our old culture and marketplace when you stop. Traditional light wilderness meal in camp is included.
Time: 1:30-4:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Price: SEK 1550/person, seated 2 personer per snowmobile. 
Surcharge for individual snowmobile: SEK 800 kr/person, total: 2350/person seated 1 person/snowmobile.

Snowmobile overnight tour
Guided tour with overnight in wilderness camp. You will pass dense and snowclad forrests. Together with your guides you will experience a tour you will never forget. Maybe you get lucky to see the Northern lights on the night sky or your favourit star! A three course dinner and a hearty breakfast is included aswell as sleepingbag, linen, and towel for the sauna. We have different camps we go to, due to group size, weather condition and reindeers in the area. All camps have cabins with one open room where you all sleep and wooden heated sauna and outdoor drytoilets.
 
Departure: (Day 1) Friday and Saturday at 5.30 pm .
Arrival: (Day 2) Saturday and Sunday at 10 am.
Price: SEK 3995/person, seated 2 persons per snowmobile.
Surcharge for individual snowmobile: SEK 1200person, total: 5195:-/person seated 1 p/snowmobile. (Recommended due to tour lenght).

Snowmobile excursion in moose winter grazing land
The tour begins with a transfer to the staring point of this snowmobile tour. We seat ourselves on the snowmobiles and take off in to the heart of the mooses gracingland. Exclusive tour with only 8 seats per group. Lunch is included. We have arranged this tour for the last three years and each time we have encountered moose. Although we cannot guarentee that you will see any moose, but the chances are good.

Time: 10/12 to 31/3: 8.30 am (approx 6 hours).
Price: SEK 3195/person, 2 persons per snowmobile.
Surcharge for individual snowmobile: SEK 800/person, total: SEK 3995/p seated 1p/p snowmobile.

Arctic Trail

The prices include all transfers, accommodation in cabins/wilderness camp and/or hotel rooms as per program, one snowmobile per person, all fuel and oil, three meals a day plus guide throughout the safari. Departures require a minimum of six participants. In case of fewer than six, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion. 

Supplements: Everything in addition to the items listed above are to be paid in cash or by credit card. Drinks in addition to lingonberry drink and ice water are not included. Deductible for snowmobile accidents/damage: SEK 8000.

Payment: The entire amount must be deposited into our account not later than 30 days prior to arrival. 

Equipment/clothing: We provide all guests with a warm snowmobile suit, winter boots, socks, a helmet, and mittens. Guests must bring their own hat and underlayers(2-3). 
 
ICEHOTEL, the boundary stone of three nordic countries and Abisko Reserve
From the dense pine forests around ICEHOTEL in the subarctic region through snowcovered and high mountains. Following one of the Arctic trails highest located routes in Swedish Lapland. Total distance 500 km.

Exclusive culinary snowmobile tour through Lapland
This excursion goes from Kiruna Airport to Kebnekaise, to Nikkaluokta, to Lappesuando, to Vittangivaara, and finally to ICEHOTEL. Total distance: 245 kilometers.

From ICEHOTEL to the Artic Ocean through three contries
This excursion goes from ICEHOTEL to Råstojaure, to Kilpisjärvi, via Arctic fiords, to Soppero, and back to ICEHOTEL. Total distance: 480 kilometers.

Riksgränsen in the Swedish Lapland Mountains, 24 hours of daylight riding!
This excursion goes from Kiruna-Riksgränsen-Hukejaure Lake-Hukajaure Mountain-Riksgränsen-Kiruna.

The tour runds from ICEHOTEL-Kangosfors-Yllästunturi-ICEHOTEL.

Scandinavia, the way out, ICEHOTEL Jukkasjärvi
Day tour on and off marked trails. The tour starts and ends at ICEHOTEL. For both experienced and inexperienced drivers. Total 4 days.

Price: SEK 17500/person. SEK 11400/person if you have your own snowmobile.

Other activities  

Starlit dinner in wildernesscamp
Minibus transfer to Esrange, a space station. A guided tour of the station and information about the Northern lights and the stars in the sky. We move on to a wilderness camp nearby, beautifully located next to lake Salmijärvi. While the dinner gets prepared, wine will be served and we observe the sky and stars with binoculars. A three course meal awaits and afterwards we return to ICEHOTEL.
Price: SEK 2450/person.

Ice driving
After a theoretical review of a modern car’s security systems, you willl get to drive a car at an ice track under supervision of trained rally instructors. Push yourself and your car to the limit on the icy rally course.
Time: Fridays and Sundays.
Price: SEK 3295 p/p seated 2 drivers per car.
2 passenger can ride along with a driver for SEK 1150/person.
Additional info: minimum age for participation 18 years. A driving license valid in Sweden is required. A compulsory alcohol test may be requested before driving.

Note! This activity will go between the January 7th to March 31st if the weather allows it. It might open and close earlier/later due to weather conditions.

Ranger safari
With two persons per Ranger, we take off to one of our wildernesscamps for lunch after that back to ICEHOTEL to drive on track.

Dogsled from/to Kiruna airport and ICEHOTEL
An exotic way to travel from the airport to ICEHOTEL. Must be pre-booked.
Daily: In conjunction with flight arrivals. Season start varies depending on the supply of snow.
Note! Max. 4 persons per team from the airport and 3 per sled to the airport.
Price: SEK 5900 per sled.

Dogsled tour short
Seat yourself comfortably in the sled and head silently into the wilderness. Includes stop en route for coffee and cake by a campfire.
Daily: 9:30-11 am. and 1–2:30 pm.
Price: SEK 1595/person.

Dogsled tour with a visit to the kennel
This excursion includes a two-course outdoor lunch and concludes with a visit to the kennel. Total distance is about 28 kilometers; duration about 4 hours.

Optional supplement: Drive your “own” dogsledteam!
After a brief instruction, you should be ready to take off on an excursion, following after your guide. Surcharge for “Drive your own dog-team”: SEK 950/person. Total: SEK 3900/person.

Ráidu – Sami culture and reindeers
Get to know the everyday life and rich culture of the Sami. Possibility to try out driving an reindeer sled. Traditional Sami food prepared over a campfire in a kåta – a Sami-style tent.
Daily: 9.30 am.–1 pm. and 2:30–6 pm.
(The 2.30 pm. excursion is not available on Chrismas Eve or after March 29, 2009).

Combo skis or snowshoes with guide
We choose what we like to try – skis or snowshoes and off we go into the forrest surronding ICEHOTEL. Includes a guide for beginners, equipment, coffee/tea homemade cake.
Daily: 4:45 – 6:45 pm.

Ice sculpting
Using sharp tools guided by professional ICEHOTEL artists, you will be guided into the magical world of ice sculpture (minimum age 12).
Daily: 11.00 a.m. (approx. 2-3 hrs).
Price: SEK 595/person.

Northern light tour by horseback
When the evening starts to set, we head out in the forest where we might see a moose or two, and hopefully the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. Afterwards we enjoy a wilderness dinner around the open fire in a Goathi (Sami hut) and learn more about the Sami culture.
Daily: 3.30-9 pm until the end of February. 4.30-10 pm between March 1-31.
Price: 1300 SEK/ p.

Moose tour by horseback
By horseback through the moose winter grazing land, a fun and different way to get close the wild and withdrawn animals also know as the king of the forest. If you get lucky, you might get see both moose and reindeer during our journey through the snowy forest.

Hunter's certificate
Take your hunter’s certificate under professional guidance. You receive thorough training in theory, shooting, safe gun handling and range estimation.
Price: SEK 8,900.

Shooting for Hunter's certificate
Train for the shooting section of the hunter’s certificate, under professional guidance. We use both shotguns and rifles. The course concludes with a demonstration in front of an examiner. Guns can be borrowed during the course. Ammunition included.
Price: SEK 5,900.

Practical hunting course
Once you have obtained your hunter’s certificate you can build on it with this two-day practical hunting course. Together with an experienced hunting guide you spend two days at one of our wilderness camps mainly hunting game birds and grouse.
Price: SEK 4,900.

Fly-fishing courses: Basic, Standard and Expedition
Basic course, 3 days, starting from zero. We look at equipment choice, basic methods of casting and the art of reading the water.
Price: SEK 4,500.

Standard course, 2 days, starts off where the basic course ended. We build on this with more hands-on fishing in lakes and flowing water. The emphasis here is on reading the water and presenting the fly as attractively as possible. You can take part in this course if you have your own equipment and already know how to set a fly a few metres out.
Price: SEK 3,000.

Expedition course,  4 days/3 nights. This course is open to experienced anglers. Those with a generous nature may like to share their experience with anglers who have less experience. We leave civilisation behind and set off trophy fishing in the open sections of the Tavvaätno or Kaitum Rivers with one of our experienced guides. There are opportunities to catch large quantities of fish even for beginners, and perhaps a personal best for those with more experience. Guided drifting expedition in the wilderness.

Paddling in flowing water
With over 20 years’ experience of whitewater paddling we can teach you a great deal about how to navigate various craft through our untamed rivers. We use canoes, kayaks and inflatables to travel through white water and shoot the rapids. This is where you learn to tame the wild water.

Wilderness safty
Summer course, 4 days along the Torne River. You learn about lighting fires, bivouacking, orienteering and nature’s larder. We also look at the importance of maintaining good hygiene and the materials available in nature to do so.
Price: SEK 6,200.

Leadership Development
A ground-breaking new course that is aimed at managers and leaders of organisations and companies who want to develop their leadership abilities and grow in their role as managers. The course builds on the latest research and the application of leadership. Leadership Development is used as a model for leadership training by the Swedish Armed Forces and is a popular management and leadership course in industry and public administration.
