Interior crafted from 40 Tons of Arctic Ice from Sweden Presenting a Fantastic Natural Ice Blue World at the Heart of Tokyo’s Most Celebrated Entertainment Quarter, in Temperatures of Minus 5° C/23 F.
The new catchphrase coined in connection with ICEBAR TOKYO is “Twisted Ice.” This concept underscores the mission of reaching beyond the mere positioning of ice art indoors, in attempting to truly bring the intricate interior creations to life. In that sense, this Artic ice from Sweden is uniquely “twisted and tweaked” to generate a distinctive sense of vitality and humor.
What’s more, the ICEBAR interior design will be renewed annually to reflect the freewheeling imaginations and themes of the ICEHOTEL artistic team. ICEHOTEL Architect Ake Larsson and Art Director Arne Bergh contributed to the grand opening of the Ginza ICEBAR TOKYO with the guiding theme of “Purity with a Twist.” As the very name suggests, their hopes are that guests will enjoy the cool and creative new works in a playful mood and relaxed spirit.
